When we decided to buy a house together, my girlfriend and I drove around to see what we could figure out from dropping in on an open house or two. Quickly it was obvious: we were lost in the game; we needed a guide. We heard good things about David Columbus and so we called him up. David was knowledgeable and hilarious right off the bat. He helped us figure out where to look and gave us the lowdown on getting the lowdown, whether from a high-falutin' fellow agent or an obdurate "for sale by owner" owner. David was instructive without ever being intrusive, from our first phone call to our somehow giddy meeting with the title woman. I am still surprised by how painless and fun it seemed. We don't plan on buying a house again anytime soon, but sometimes I wish we could -- just to drive around with David. It's rare that one gets to spend time with someone who is subtly hilarious and consummately professional. We recommend him without reservation.

This was our first time buying a home and we knew nothing about the process. We expected a lot of waiting and re-working of our schedule in order to view a good candidate home. With David, this was not the case. When we found a house that looked very good from the street and were excited to see more, David was there, morning, noon, and night. Before retirement we owned a computer store in California that we built from literally nothing, and I saw in David a younger me out there doing whatever it took to make it happen. I began with an immediate challenge. Market and sell an odd little house in an odd location at an odd time of year.
